Yas Mall will feature a leasable space of 235,000 m2 over three floors which will be the second largest mall in the UAE and 35th in the world. The shopping mall will comprise 700 retail & food units including 4 department stores.

Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, investment and management company, has awarded a five-year construction contract for Yas Mall to Six Construct, a subsidiary of the Besix Group, in which Orascom Construction Industries, an Egyptian construction giant, holds a 50 % stake.

Heat Index (HI) only considers ambient temperature and humidity and fails to take into account air flow (wind) and heat radiation. Since this summer, SixConstruct has switched to TWL, a more appropriate heat index that is recommended by Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and Abu Dhabi Environment Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS).
